1. Food - Mint is an especially great culinary accompaniment, perfect for cutting into salads and sprinkling on fruit, or mixing it with basil and cilantro for a mint pesto. You can also make mint veggies by adding a few tablespoons of freshly chopped mint to peas, green beans, carrots, cauliflower, or zucchini.
2. Drinks - Freeze a few trays of strong mint tea, then use ice cubes to cool summer drinks. Add mint leaves or mint cubes to mojitos, iced tea, or fresh lemonade.
3. Tea - what we usually call "mint" is the traditional tea herb. Simply soak fresh mint leaves in boiling water for about five minutes and serve. This is a great digestive aid after dinner.

4. Relieve sunburn pain - Brew strong peppermint tea and refrigerate the mixture for a few hours. To use, gently apply to the burn area with a cotton pad.
5. Breath Freshener - Just chew on a few mint leaves, sage tea and extracts that have been used as mouthwashes for oral infections for centuries.
6. Air Freshener – Add a few drops of peppermint essential oil to your favorite unscented cleaner to keep your home smelling fresh, or simply grab a cotton ball and tap the light bulb.
7. Sachets – tie together a few sprigs of fragrant mint, or pluck a handful of leaves and tuck them into the legs of an old nylon stocking. Hang them on a string in a bag of clothes, tuck them into a bag of stored wool clothes, or put them in a drawer to allow clothes to absorb odors. Refresh regularly to keep scent fresh.
8. Repelling insects - When ants enter the kitchen in summer, put a few mints, crush lightly, and close to suspicious entry points, it can really play a role in repelling mosquitoes. You will need to replace the mint with fresh material every few days. Also, keep your pet away from fleas by filling a small pillow with fresh rehmannia and thyme and placing it next to your pet's bed.
